The history of FONDMETAL began in Palosco, a small town between Bergamo and Brescia, on 24 June 1972.

Starting out as an aluminium foundry producing a wide variety of parts for different cars, the company soon began to focus exclusively on the production of alloy wheels. 

Fondmetal has been part of the Formula 1 Team since 1983, supplying one-piece magnesium wheels.

After many successful years and partnerships with various brands, Fondmetal is proud now to supply the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team.

Thanks to its many years of experience, FONDMETAL can be considered a leader in the light alloy wheel sector.
The company's strengths include product quality (TÜV, ECE and NAD type-approval), IATF 16949, UNI EN ISO 14001 and UNI EN ISO 9001 certification, a technological mindset honed on racetracks worldwide, state-of-the-art production facilities, flexibility, reliability and speed.

Looking ahead, in July 2023, FONDMETAL took a further step towards sustainability by choosing to power all its facilities exclusively with renewable energy.
